Poppies silk scarf, floral print. The poppy is a symbol of wartime remembrance, and they were used as emblems on tombstones to symbolize eternal sleep. The opium poppy was cultivated in lower Mesopotamia as long ago as 3400 BC.
13.5" x 69" + knotted fringe, soft, extremely lightweight gauzy and delicate. Note: minor imperfections are part of the charm and character of handcrafted silk.
