Sometimes the things that exist in the most amazing way in your mind’s eye don’t always end up that way in real life. And sometimes when this happens, you, dear valued customer, get all kinds of win! In response to some folks wanting a more of a subtle pattern throughout the length of the tie (but still also having a nifty printed surprise on the end), we ordered this really fancy, very high-rent textured, jacquard silk. We wanted to print some of our more bold designs on the bottom, and while this works with some prints, we found it didn’t work with enough of our more detailed prints to make it worth carrying.

The short answer? This silk is a royal pain in the butt to print on, but we did find some prints that look super sweet on it - so we’re doing those prints only and getting this (awesome, but major butt-pain fabric outta here). You dear friends, are getting one heck of a limited-edition sample-sale discount out of it! (Psst - this was going to be our most costly offering!) Should you guys go nutters over it? We may introduce it back in to our line for real.

Printing ink placed on textured material (herringbone silk, diagonal fine-stripe, paisley, jacquard, tweed)  will not have exactly the same solid coverage that's shown on our smooth satin microfiber or satin silk ties. Our high-end textured fabrics have a more uneven surface to print on; you wouldn't expect a line painted on paper to look the same as one painted on cement! (A little hyperbole, but you get it!) These small inconsistencies are part of the character of each tie and won't be considered a defect.
