- Locking slide clip on the back for easy adjustment
- Sturdy black, 5mm REAL leather braided cord. Not "vegan"/faux "leather"! It will soften up over time and use.
- 2 inch silver-tone tapered cord tips
- Handmade. Please allow for slight variations in color, shape and size of the stones. Each fossil is unique!
- Each is securely attached to the bolo hardware with aircraft grade, jeweler's cement bonding
- The reverse side of the ammonite is coated in resin to act as a "bumper" to prevent damage while wearing or if dropped - and to further secure the hardware
- Stones hand-picked in person at the Tucson and Quartzsite Gem Shows
- Stone origin: Madagascar.
- Fancy gift box included.
Own the look however you love it most - wear with a button up shirt just like a traditional necktie or wear it looser with a button un-buttoned for a more casual look. Or wear the bolo very loosely around your neck and layer with an oversized t-shirt or tank!
Delight fossil collectors! Ammonites were predatory mollusks that resembled a squid with a shell. These cephalopods had eyes, tentacles, and spiral shells. They are more closely related to a living octopus, though the shells resemble that of a nautilus. Ammonites appeared in the fossil record about 240 million years ago.
Each bolo, tie tack, lapel pin, tie bar and pair of cufflinks is unique and one of a kind, and made by hand by printmaker, metalworking artist and Cyberoptix founder, Bethany Shorb. I work between Detroit, MI and a mini-studio RV in Arizona, where I source all our stone, crystal, shell and fossil specimens there and at the Tucson and Quartzsite AZ gem shows. All are intuitively sourced in person, from only the most reputable individual suppliers.
